Ron was born in River Falls, Wisconsin.  He graduated from River Falls High School in 1971.  He received an Associate Degree in Mortuary Science from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, Illinois in 1976.  After graduation, he worked for the Dashner Funeral Home in Red Bud until 1984.  In 1984, along with his wife Pam (DuFrenne), who he married on August 14, 1976 and was born and raised in Red Bud, Illinois became partners at the Welge Funeral Home in Chester and Evansville.  They currently reside in Chester and are owners of the Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home, Chester, Welge-Pechacek Funeral Homes Evansville and Red Bud. They have two children, a daughter Elizabeth (husband Jason) Ohlau and a son Derek (wife Erin) Pechacek. They also have two granddaughters, Annabeth MarieOhlau, Julia Leigh Ohlau and two grandsons, William Edward Ohlau and Jackson Edward Pechacek.

They are both members of St. Mary Catholic Church, Chester.  Pam is a 1972 graduate of Gibault High School and graduated with an associate’s degree in Applied Science from SWIC, Belleville in 1974. She is a member of the St. Mary’s Ladies Altar Sodality and Chester Women’s Club.  Ron is a Eucharistic Minister, member of the Chester Knights of Columbus, St. Mary Catholic Cemetery Committee, Chester Country Club, Chester Rotary Club, Chester Eagles Club and Chester Lions Club.  He is a member and Past President of the Chester Chamber of Commerce.  He serves on the Board of Directors at the Buena Vista National Bank, Chester, Evansville, Decatur and Warrensburg, Illinois, the Board of Directors at Memorial Hospital, Chester, Chester Planning Commission, and is a past member and President of the Chester Public Building Commission.  He is a member of Egyptian Funeral Director’s Association, IFDA, and NFDA. He also is a member of the Chamber of Commerce in Red Bud, Evansville and Prairie du Rocher, Illinois.  Ron is an avid St. Louis Cardinal baseball fan, golfer and enjoys spending time with his family and grandchildren.



Michael W. McClure & Susan G. McClure

Mike is a lifelong resident of Chester, Illinois. He graduated from Chester High School in 1976, and received his Associate Degree in Mortuary Science from SIU-Carbondale in 1978 and was commissioned a Nationally Registered EMT and Randolph County Deputy Coroner.  He became part-owner of the Schroeder-McClure Funeral Chapel in 1985, and sole owner in 2000.  Susan was born in Plattsburg, New York, the daughter of Rev. C. Fred and June Campbell.  She graduated from Chester High School in 1980, and married Mike later that year.  They have four children: Michael II (wife Amber), Jennifer, Christine and Elizabeth. Mike and Susan are part-owners of the Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home in Chester and the Welge-Pechacek Funeral Homes Evansville and Red Bud.

Mike and Susan are members of St. John Lutheran Church of Chester. Susan was a member of the St. John School Board and Treasurer of their PTL, and sings in the church choir. She is a charter member of the DAR chapter, and long standing member of the Chester Municipal Band.  Mike is the past President of several local organizations, including the Lions Club, Jaycees, St. John Fellowship Club, and Popeye Picnic Committee.  Mike has been an Elder at St. John, and a member of their  Stewardship Board and Mission Committee, as well as Sunday School Superintendent and LLL Ambassador. He coached T-Ball and was a Cub Scout Den Leader. He is the founder and chairman of the Clendenin Historical Site, Popeye and Friends Character Trail and the Chester Baskerville Society.  He served several years on the Chester Park Board, and Vocational Advisory Council for Chester Community Unit District #139 and is a member of the Egyptian Funeral Director’s Association, IFDA, NFDA and Chester Chamber of Commerce. In 1992 Mike was invested into the Baker Street Irregulars.  Mike enjoys genealogical and historical research, football, local school sports, Sherlockian studies and delights in spending his free time with his family.



Elizabeth K. Pechacek Ohlau

Elizabeth was born in Red Bud, Illinois.  She moved to Chester with her family in 1984.  She graduated from Chester High School in 1997.  She received an Associate Degree in Mortuary Science from Southern Illinois University Carbondale, Illinois in 2000 graduating Magna Cum Laude. She currently resides in Red Bud and is married to Jason Ohlau. They have two daughters Annabeth Marie Ohlau, Julia Leigh Ohlau and one son William Edward Ohlau. 

Elizabeth is employed at the Welge-Pechacek Funeral Homes Red Bud and Evansville and the Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home, Chester.  She is a Deputy Coroner in Randolph County, Illinois, a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Red Bud were she is a Eucharistic Minister, Egyptian Funeral Director’s Association, IFDA, NFDA, Randolph County Police Association, Illinois Coroners and Medical Examiners Association. Elizabeth has also served on the Red Bud Chamber of Commerce Board of Director. She is an avid St. Louis Cardinal Baseball fan, loves to go golfing with her father, but most of all she loves spending time with her two girls, son and husband.



Donald E. DuFrenne

Donald E. DuFrenne-Maintenance Engineer

Don was born in Modoc, Illinois. He came to work at the Welge-Pechacek Funeral Homes upon his retirement from the auto parts business in 1994. He is a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Red Bud, Illinois. 

Don currently resides in Red Bud and is married to Audrey (Deterding) and together they have four children Pam (husband Ron) Pechacek, Sherry (husband Tim) Lowry, Dean DuFrenne and the late Paula DuFrenne McReynolds.  He has four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.



Joyce Ellner

Joyce Ellner-Bookkeeper

Joyce was born in Modoc, Illinois.  She is the bookkeeper for the Welge-Pechacek Funeral Homes Red Bud and Evansville and Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home, Chester since 1994.  She currently resides in rural Prairie du Rocher and is a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Ruma, Illinois and the American Legion Auxiliary Prairie du Rocher, Illinois. 

Joyce is married to Tom Ellner, and they have two children Scott (wife Sherleen) Ellner and Kris (husband Mike) Kennedy.  She has three grandchildren.



Judy Renner

Judy Renner-Manager Evansville Funeral Home

Judy is a lifetime resident of the Evansville, Illinois area.  She graduated from Gibault High School in 1974.  She has managed the Evansville facility since 1995.  She is a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, Evansville and currently serves as a school board member at St. John the Baptist Catholic School in Red Bud, Illinois.

July is married to David Renner.  She has a daughter, Elizabeth (husband Darren) Hess.  She also has one granddaughter, Helen Jewell Hess.
