WILLIAM "Bill" G. HATFIELD, JR., 75, of Prairie du Rocher, Illinois, passed away at 5:00 am, Tuesday, December 9. 2014 at Memorial Care Center, Belleville, Illinois. He was born to the late William G. and Hattie Katherine (nee Walton) Hatfield, Sr. on March 16, 1939 in Taylorville, Illinois. Bill married Sytha Ellen Turley on May 12, 1962 in Coalmont, Indiana; she preceded him in death on February 24, 2010. Bill had been a coal miner for 25 years and had worked at Eagle One Mine in Shawneetown, IL, River King Mine in Freeburg, IL and Marissa Mine in Marissa, IL. He then went to work as a Federal Mine Inspector for MSHA for 15 years. He had been a member of Masonic Lodge #418 in Freeburg, IL, Belleville/Swansea Moose Lodge #1221 in Swansea, IL, Show Me Little Equine Club, American Miniature Horse Registry and American Miniature Horse Association. He was an Army Veteran. Survivors: 3 Children Pamala J. Hatfield Ruma, IL William (Aramina) Hatfield, III Mt. Vernon, IL Mark (Christy) Hatfield Prairie du Rocher, IL 6 Grandchildren Corey, Cameron, Meagan, Cassidy, Caleb & Piper Hatfield 1 Brother Gary Joe (Mary) Hatfield Festus, MO 2 Sisters Becky Rowley Pana, IL Carol Sue (Don) Gooden Mendota, IL Many Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friend Preceded in death by Parents, Wife, and 1 Granddaughter - Darian Lee Hatfield It was Bill's wishes to be cremated.
