Verlin D. Roche

VERLIN D. ROCHE, 85, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 10:08 pm, Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Memorial Hospital, Chester, Illinois.

He was born to the late Vernon and Eugenia (nee Abel) Roche on November 28, 1933 in Chester, Illinois.

Verlin married Shirley Diskey on May 16, 1958 in Pinckneyville, Illinois; she survives.

He had worked as a Correctional Officer at Menard Correctional Center for 32 years.

He loved being a grandpa and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Verlin loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting and trapping. He also enjoyed camping and going on vacations.

Verlin was a member of New Palestine United Methodist Church, Walsh, Illinois. He was a Navy Veteran.
