Randy J. Helmers

RANDY J. HELMERS, 68, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 9:45 pm, Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Evelyn’s House in Creve Coeur, Missouri.

He was born to the late Detrich and Opal (nee Rushing) Helmers on June 28, 1950 in Chester, Illinois.

He married Katharine Korando on April 21, 1979 in Chester, Illinois; she survives.

Randy worked as a finish carpenter and was a farmer.

He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Chester, Illinois. He was also a member of the Carpenter Local #1361, the Eagles Club Aerie #3252 in Chester, and the Randolph County Farm Bureau. Randy was a member of the Chester Fire Department for 27 years. He enjoyed riding his gator around and spending time with his grandchildren.
