ELSIE M. BERT, 92, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 7:16 am, Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Randolph County Care Center, Sparta, Illinois.

She was born to the late William Paul and Caroline (nee Schnaare) LaBruyere on April 8, 1926 in Modoc, Illinois.

Elsie married Andrew D. Bert, Jr. on June 21, 1947 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Prairie du Rocher, Illinois; he preceded her in death on December 28, 2014.

She was a homemaker and in her earlier years, she had worked at International Shoe Company in Chester, Illinois.

She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Chester, Illinois. She was also a member of St. Mary’s Ladies Sodality and V.F.W. Auxiliary in Chester, Illinois.
