Martha M. Zweigart

MARTHA M. ZWEIGART , 91 , of Evansville, Illinois, passed away at 8:50 am, Thursday, August 30, 2018 at her residence.

She was born to the late Roy and Minnie (nee Keller) Kempfer on August 11, 1927 in Evansville, Illinois.

Martha married Lewis E. Zweigart on June 19, 1946 in Evansville, Illinois; he preceded her in death on December 9, 2010.

She was a homemaker. Martha and her husband also were the owners of Zweigart Bus Service, which will be celebrating 55 years of business this year.

Martha was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Evansville, Illinois. She was also a member of the Dorcas Society and the Parish Council Board at her church, and the American Legion Auxiliary in Evansville. She loved cooking, gardening and reading. She also loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren. Martha was lovingly known as Mama Zweigart.
