Roger Welge

ROGER L. WELGE , 78 , of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 8:08 am, Thursday, August 9, 2018 at his residence.

He was born to the late Adolph and Jullian (nee Wolshock) Welge on September 22, 1939 in Chester, Illinois.

Roger married Phyllis A. Spangler on June 20, 1959 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Chester, Illinois; she survives.

He had worked for the Chester Dairy for 28 years. He also worked as a custodian at Chester High School for 15 years.

Roger was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Chester, Illinois. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus #3790 in Chester. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals Fan and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and bowling.
