DORIS M. THOMPSON, 95, of Red Bud, Illinois, passed away at 3:20 am, Monday, July 16, 2018 at Red Bud Regional Care, Red Bud, Illinois.

She was born to the late Harry and Iva (nee Eades) Fournie on November 16, 1922 in Monroe County, Illinois.

Doris married Floyd Thompson; he preceded her in death on August 6, 1981.

She was a homemaker.

Doris was a member of St. Peter United Church of Christ in Red Bud, Illinois. She taught Sunday School and served on the church council. She also served on the Women’s Guild Committees where she was the treasurer. Doris helped organize Red Bud’s first Cub Scout Pack which was sponsored by her church.
