He was born to Albert and Helen (nee Slanski) Yankey on July 13, 1934 in Chester, Illinois.

Cloyd married Sharon F. Wilson on September 7, 1957 in Chester, Illinois.  She survives.

Cloyd was a retired concrete worker.

He was of the Christian faith.
