Dale E Deterding

DALE E. DETERDING, 73, of Smithton, Illinois, passed away at 4:33 am, Saturday, June 30, 2018 at home with loved ones.

He was born to the late Albert and Dorothy (nee Menke) Deterding on March 30, 1945 in Prairie du Rocher, Illinois.

Dale married Shirley DuFrenne on November 10, 1967 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Prairie du Rocher, Illinois; she survives.

He had been an Illinois State Trooper for 27 years.

Dale was a member of the Illinois Police Association and Fraternal Order of Police.  He loved spending time with his grandkids and family.  He also enjoyed playing poker with his buddies.

He was an Army Veteran.

It was Dale’s wishes to be cremated.
