RICHARD O. STEINGRUBEY, 86, of Red Bud, Illinois, passed away at 8:28 am, Saturday, June 9. 2018 at St. Anthony’s Medical Center, St. Louis, Missouri.
He was born to the late Harry F. and Thelma (nee Hall) Steingrubey on September 29, 1931 in St. Louis, Missouri.
Richard married Dorothy Goessling on May 24, 1952 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Waterloo, Illinois; she survives.
He owned and operated Red Bud Auto Supply and Town & Country Auto Supply in Waterloo until his retirement.
Richard was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Red Bud, Illinois and also sang in the Adult Choir. He was also a member of Knight of Columbus #12152 in Red Bud, V.F.W. Post #6504 in Waterloo, and Kaskaskia Trail Chorus. He enjoyed spending time restoring Model T and was also in the Model T Club.
Richard was a Korean War Air Force Veteran.
