Martha Goessling

MARTHA M. GOESSLING, 86, of Ruma, Illinois, passed away at 11:20 am, Friday, January 26, 2018 at Red Bud Regional Care, Red Bud, Illinois.

She was born to the late William and Esther (nee Sprietler) Hess on June 29, 1931 in Evansville, Illinois.

Martha married Lawrence W. Goessling on November 20, 1948 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Ruma, Illinois; he preceded her in death on March 26, 2000.

She was a homemaker for most of her life. She had worked at various restaurants. Martha also decorated cakes for weddings and birthdays.

She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Ruma, Illinois. Martha was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary in Red Bud, Illinois and the American Legion Auxiliary in Evansville, Illinois. She was also a member of the Evansville Senior Citizens in Evansville, Illinois and the Women’s Mascoutah Moose in Mascoutah, Illinois.
