GARY C. HOWE, 76, of Red Bud, Illinois, passed away at 7:26 pm, Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at his residence.

He was born to the late Carlyle Melvin and Alice (nee Wasson) Howe on March 20, 1941 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

He married Janet S. Eckhouse on July 3, 1965 at St. Kevin Catholic Church in East Alton, Illinois; she survives.

He had worked as an Insurance Agent for State Farm Insurance for 22 years in Steeleville, Illinois.

Gary was a Navy Veteran.

He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Red Bud, Illinois, Lion Club for 35 years and the Steeleville Chamber of Commerce. Gary enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife and sitting on the porch to watch the birds and drink coffee.
