William Richard Gadberry

WILLIAM  RICHARD “DICK”  GADBERRY, 88 , of Chester, Illinois, passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at his residence in Chester.

He was born to the late Lee Harrison and Wilma (nee Cutsinger) Gadberry on April 1, 1929 in Joliet, Illinois.

He married Lois Voudrie on April 3, 1965 in Chester, Illinois.  She survives.

In June of 1970 Dick purchased the taxi company in Chester and operated it until December 1977.  He worked at Chester Mental Health Center from 1977 until July 15, 1994.  After his retirement he opened Buy N Save Used Furniture store and operated it until June 2014.

He was a member of Family Worship Center, Assembly of God Church in Chester.

Dick had served in the US Army.
