Robert Lynn "Blinkers" James

ROBERT LYNN “BLINKERS” JAMES, 75 , of Chester, Illinois, passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.

He was born to the late Robert L. and Lillie (nee Armstrong) James on April 27, 1942 in West Frankfort, Illinois.

He married Claudette “Midge” Dethrow on June 1, 1962 in Chester, Illinois; she preceded him in death on September 24, 2015.

Lynn had worked as a Clerk at the Menard Correctional Center and as an Office Manager at Gilster Mary-Lee.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Chester, Illinois where he was an active member of the church committees. Lynn was also an active member of the AFSCME Council #31.
