LEONA “ONI” J. DANNENBRINK, 96, of Red Bud, Illinois, passed away 6:30 am, Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Red Bud Regional Care, Red Bud, Illinois.
She was born to the late Henry and Alwine (nee Bunte) Althoff on July 20, 1921 in Red Bud, Illinois.
She married Walter H. Dannenbrink on June 8, 1947 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Prairie, Illinois; he preceded her in death on May 18, 1979.
In Leona earlier years, she helped out on the farm and was a homemaker. In 1978, she started an in-home daycare and continued caring for kids for 20 years.
She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Red Bud, Illinois. She was an avid bingo player, enjoyed crocheting and doing word search.
