, of Steeleville, Illinois, passed away at 10:44 pm, Sunday, October 1,
He was born to the late Gilmore and Velma (nee Rushing) Prost on June 9,
He married Brenda Clendenin on June 29,
Jim worked for 30 years and later purchased in 1982 the Prost Alfalfa Mill in the Missouri Bottoms. He also owned Prost Auto Wash in Chester, Illinois for 13 years. After selling the mill, Jim had worked as an over the road truck driver for Gilster Mary-Lee in Chester, Illinois for 22 years.
He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Chester, Illinois. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus #3790. Jim liked to go boating and camping. He also enjoyed spending time in his shop and keeping his lawn well groomed. Jim loved to watch Cardinals baseball and loved to watch his grandkids play sports. He was in the Army Reserves for 2 years.
