JAMES R. BOLAND, 83, of Ellis Grove, Illinois, passed away Friday, August 4, 2017 at his residence.

He was born to the late Oscar Laffayette and Rose Marie (nee Miller) Boland on December 11, 1933 in East St. Louis, Illinois.

He married Betty Jean (nee Rambo) Sandefur on February 2, 1978 in St. Clair County, Illinois; she preceded in death on March 14, 2003.

He had worked as a Refrigeration Mechanic for many years.

He was an Army Veteran.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Ellis Grove, Illinois. He was an avid fisherman. He enjoyed building and could fix anything.
