BERNICE M. CHADWICK, 92 , of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 5:28 am, Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Three Springs Lodge Nursing Home in Chester, Illinois .
She was born to the late John and Hilda (nee Arbeiter) Amschler on October 11, 1924 in Jacob, Illinois.
Bernice married Fletcher “Pat” Chadwick on April 7, 1945 in Platteville, Wisconsin. He preceded her in death on February 9, 1995.
She was a member of St John Lutheran Church in Chester, Illinois, the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League and enjoyed helping with church funeral dinners and the Popeye Picnic until her health declined.
Some of Bernice’s favorite hobbies were quilting with the ladies at her church and cooking. She was a very good cook. Her German potato salad was a family favorite.
Bernice retired from Spartan Printing, Sparta, Illinois.
