DEBORAH JEAN DOUGHERTY, 63, of Red Bud, Illinois, formerly of The Hill neighborhood in St. Louis, Missouri, passed away at 2:10 am, Saturday, June 3, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born to the late Bernard and Nina Jean (nee McCaffery) Dougherty on September 11, 1953 in East St. Louis, Illinois.
Deb spent most of adult life living in The Hill neighborhood in St. Louis, Missouri. She started working for Magnetek in 1972 until 2006. She then went to work in the H.R. department at Craftsmen Industries in 2007 until her retirement in 2016.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Red Bud, Illinois.
Deb was an avid St. Louis Cardinal and Blues fan. She played softball for 45 years.
Deb’s pride and joy was her daughter, Ashley (Andy) Kreher of Red Bud, IL and 2 Grandchildren - Peyton & Bentley Kreher. She is also survived by her 3 Sisters - Paula (Richard) Kaltenbronn of Belleville, IL, Judy Vorce of St. Charles, MO and Kathy Williams (Scott Black) of Swansea, IL; her Nieces and Nephews – Heather & Nicholas Kaltenbronn, Ryan Miller and Remi Williams and many Cousins and Friends.
Deb was preceded in death by her Parents and 1 Brother – Brian Dougherty
