Judy Lynn Werle Phelps

Judy Lynn Phelps (formerly Judy L. Werle), a longtime resident of Chester and Perryville, Missouri, died after a long battle with kidney disease on 27 February, 2017, in Alabaster, Alabama.

Judy was born in Chester, Illinois, on December 25, 1950 to Gladys Herring.

She graduated from Chester High School, and earned her Practical Nursing license in 1984. She worked as a nurse in Illinois, Texas and Missouri until her retirement in 2009.

Judy is survived by her sister, Brenda Werle, sons Brandon Phelps and Garry Steffens, and grandsons Joshua and Matthew Steffens, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Phelps, her mother, and her sister Cheryl Werle.

Her ashes will be laid to rest with Richard at a family ceremony in Evergreen Cemetery at a future date.
