Lucille Margaret Roy

LUCILLE MARGARET ROY, 92, of Prairie du Rocher, Illinois, passed away at 1:11 pm, Friday, May 19, 2017 at Red Bud Regional Hospital, Red Bud, Illinois.

She was born to the late Perry William and Ludwina (nee Niermann) Blow on December 16, 1924 in Prairie du Rocher, Illinois.

She married Aaron Joseph Roy on July 26, 1944 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Prairie du Rocher, Illinois; he preceded her in death on September 22, 1988.

She had worked at American Furnace Company in Red Bud; International Shoe Company in Evansville and Belleville; and finally worked as a Senior Campanian for 17 years until her retirement.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Prairie du Rocher, Illinois and a member of American Legion Auxiliary for over 60 years in Prairie du Rocher.  She enjoyed playing cards and was active in several card clubs.  She was also an avid Bingo player.
