OTIS C. WEGENER, 88, of Evansville, Illinois, passed away 8:15 am, Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at Red Bud Regional Care, Red Bud, Illinois.
He was born to the late Henry and Minnie (nee Hanebutt) Wegener on July 12, 1928 in Evansville, Illinois.
He married Bernadine Koester on June 6, 1951 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Evansville, Illinois; she survives.
He had worked as a Dairy Farmer for all his life.
He was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Evansville, Illinois and was a former trustee and had served on both School Board and Finance Committee. He was also a member of the Randolph County Farm Bureau.
He had served in the Army during the Korean War.
