Wayne Edward Ramsey

WAYNE  EDWARD  RAMSEY, 76 , of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 4:05 am, Sunday, April 9, 2017 at his residence.

He was born to the late Benjamin and Fleta (nee Hathaway) Ramsey on July 11, 1940 in Chester, Illinois.

He married Brenda Sue Carnahan on June 5, 1965 in Chester, Illinois.  She survives.

Wayne was a Lieutenant Correctional Officer at Menard Correctional Center retiring in 1990.

He was of the Protestant faith.  He was a Life member of VFW Post #3553 and also a member of American Legion Alva Courier Post #487 both in Chester, the Marine Corps League and the Mississippi Valley Gun Club.

Wayne was a Marine Corps Veteran along with four of his brothers.
