Dorothy L Heinemeyer

DOROTHY L. HEINEMEYER, 93, of Red Bud, Illinois, passed away at 6:00 am, Friday, March 10, 2017 at Three Springs Lodge Nursing Home, Chester, Illinois.

She was born March 17, 1923 and was adopted by the late Louis and Emma (nee Joritz) Ehlers of Campbell Hill, Illinois.

She married Albert E. Heinemeyer on August 12, 1945 in Red Bud, Illinois; he preceded her in death on April 16, 1989.  Then she married, Victor H. Heinemeyer on June 12, 1993 in Red Bud, Illinois; he preceded her in death on December 10, 2001.

She had worked as a Cook at Senior Manor in Sparta for 2 years, St. Clement Hospital in Red Bud for 11 years, and Mae’s Café for 8 years.  She cleaned homes for many people in Red Bud and retired at the age of 85.

She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Red Bud, Illinois and St. John Mission Society.  She was an avid quilter for her family and friends. She also quilted in the St. John Quilting Circle.  She enjoyed gardening, flowers, cooking and baking.  She was especially known for her cookies.
