Phyllis M. Kennedy

PHYLLIS M. KENNEDY, 73, of Ruma, Illinois, passed away at 3:27 am, Sunday, March 5, 2017 at SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri.

She was born to the late Theodore W. and Ethel M. (nee Keller) Fadler on March 29, 1943 in Red Bud, Illinois.

She married Richard E. Kennedy on November 10, 1962 in Prairie du Rocher, Illinois; he preceded her in death on June 11, 2015.

After raising her children, she worked as a teller at First Bank and then worked as a Ward Clerk for Monroe County Care and Rehabilitation Center in Waterloo, Illinois.

She had a passion for reading, mushroom hunting, crocheting, sewing, quilting, baking, a good card game and she enjoyed a good bottle of wine. She donated blood regularly. On Tuesday mornings, she enjoyed spending time with her friends. Her specialty was providing Rice Krispy Treats for every special occasion and birthday. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.

She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Ruma, Illinois and American Legion Auxiliary Post #622 in Prairie du Rocher, Illinois.
