Wilma C. Taggart

WILMA C. TAGGART, 96 , of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 2:35 am, Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Memorial Hospital in Chester, Illinois.

She was born on August 11, 1920 in Chester, Illinois to William and Clara (nee: Niemeyer)DeRousse.

She married Kenneth Taggart on December 6, 1947 in Chester, Illinois.  He preceded her in death on January 12, 2017.

Wilma was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Chester, Illinois.

She was a retired checker at several grocery stores over the years – Jung’s, Daniel’s, Uffelman’s and Moore & Wittenborn’s Thriftway.  She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, the Clerk’s Union and was also a beautician.
