Ruth B. Stewart

RUTH BURNADEAN STEWART , of Chester, Illinois, formerly of Rockwood, Illinois, passed away on Friday, March 3, 2017 at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri .

She was born to the late Raleigh Edward and Elizabeth Matilda (nee: Lorentz) Smith on May 15, 1929 in Rockwood, Illinois.

Ruth married James H. Stewart on September 28, 1946 in Chester, Illinois.  He preceded her in death on March 30, 2013

She was of the Presbyterian faith.

She was a homemaker.

Ruth was widely known for her love and compassions for animals.  Everything from injured animals to lost cats and dogs seemed to know where to go for help.
