Alan George Stumpe

ALAN GEORGE STUMPE, 84 , of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 8:24 am, Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Three Springs Lodge Nursing Home in Chester, Illinois.

He was born to the late Norbert G. and Martha (nee Bauer) Stumpe on January 18, 1933 in Chester, Illinois.

Alan served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951-1953 and was stationed in Greenland. When he came back from the service he worked for the International Shoe Factory in Chester and St. Louis for several years. Then he went to work as a custodian at the Chester Grade School until his retirement in 1993.

He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Chester, Illinois.
