George N. Hoffman

November 27, 1941 — January 4, 2017

GEORGE  NICHOLAS  HOFFMAN, 75 , of Perryville, Missouri, formerly of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 8:54 am, Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at Independence Care Center in Perryville, Missouri .

He was born to Dr. Jacob “Omer” and Edith (nee: Whitaker) Hoffman on November 27, 1941 in Murphysboro, Illinois.

George formerly worked at Zeigler Coal Company, and as a Chester Toll Booth collector, and retired as a water plant operator for the City of Chester.  He was the proud founder of Skeeter’s Nest Sportsman’s Club, and was an avid fisherman and hunter.

He was of the Presbyterian faith and was a Shriner.

It was George’s wish to be cremated.
