FAY HARTMANN, 74, of Red Bud, Illinois, passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Saint Louis University Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri.

She was born to the late Tom and Thelma (nee Savage) Nelson on July 16, 1942 in Warsaw, North Carolina.  After her father’s death in WWII, Thelma married Elmer Wetzel, Sr. and Fay was raised by them.

She had worked as Secretary/Receptionist for Elder Cadillac in Belleville, Illinois and Weir Chevrolet in Red Bud, Illinois.

She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Red Bud, Illinois and the V.F.W Auxiliary, where she had been past president.   She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed going to casino.  Fay loved to travel with family and friends.
