Robert "Bob" B. Patterson

ROBERT “BOB” B. PATTERSON, 95 , of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 4:48 am on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at Oak Hill Nursing Home in Waterloo, Illinois.

He was born to the late Orville and Daisy Mae (nee: Barrett) Patterson on April 22, 1921 in Harco, Illinois.

He married Viola Ann Katt on April 10, 1964 in Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri.  She preceded him in death on March 12, 2015.

Bob worked as an equipment operator for Peabody Coal Company.

He was of the Baptist Faith.  He was a member of the American Legion Alva Courier Post #487 and VFW Post #3553 both in Chester and the United Mine Workers.

He was a WWII Army Veteran and was awarded the 5 Bronze Stars.
