FERN MARIE SIMPSON, 88 , of Evansville, Illinois, passed away at 9:27 pm, Saturday, October 29, 2016 at her home in Evansville, Illinois.

She was born to the late Raymond and Esther (nee Reinhardt) Stone on April 16, 1928 in Evansville, Illinois.

Fern married Glenn U. Simpson on December 28, 1946 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Evansville, Illinois. He preceded her in death on November 13, 2004.

She was a tourism guide at Pierre Menard Home for 20 years and was involved with the Randolph Historical Society. She also loved to travel.

Fern was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, American Legion Auxiliary and the St. Boniface Quilting Ladies all in Evansville.

Preceded in death by :  Parents, Husband – Glenn U. Simpson, 1 Grandson – Kenneth Simpson, 1 Daughter-in-law – Sara Roley Simpson, 3 Siblings – Raymond Stone, Dorothy Werkmann and William Stone
