MARY HELEN MASTERSON, 87, of Red Bud, Illinois, formerly of Glen Carbon, Illinois, passed away at 9:45 pm, Friday, September 30, 2016 at Red Bud Regional Care, Red Bud, Illinois.
She was born to the late Edgar and Augusta (nee Blow) Nevois on July 4, 1929 in Prairie du Rocher, Illinois.
She married Edward Leo Masterson on April 14, 1951 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Prairie du Rocher, Illinois; he preceded her in death on January 7, 2002.
Mary Helen was a wonderful homemaker and was well known for her delicious desserts. For many years, she enjoyed quilting for St. Cecelia Parish in Glen Carbon, Illinois. She was also active in that community’s Senior Citizen organization and volunteered to help prepare funeral meals. She was a devoted member of St. Cecilia Parish until re-locating to Red Bud in 2013.
