EDWARD E. RUROEDE, SR., 84 , of Ellis Grove, Illinois, passed away at 6:15 pm, Sunday, September 18, 2016 at Randolph County Care Center, Sparta, Illinois..

He was born to the late Martin and Dora (nee: Hartmann) Ruroede on May 11, 1932 in Bremen, Illinois.

Ed married Lola M. Jones on September 24, 1955 at St. Mark Lutheran Church, Steeleville, Illinois. She preceded him in death on December 10, 2012.

He had worked at Spartan Light Metals Products, Sparta, Illinois and retired after 36 years. He also was a farmer and loved to hunt and fish. He was of the Lutheran Faith and was an Army Veteran serving as an MP in Japan.
