LAVINA M. STEIBEL, 86, of Prairie du Rocher, Illinois, passed away at 5:00 am, Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Red Bud Regional Care, Red Bud, Illinois.

She was born to the late Henry and Rose (nee Fausz) Melliere on October 1, 1929 in Prairie du Rocher, Illinois.

She married Raymond Steibel on August 16, 1952 in Prairie du Rocher, Illinois; he preceded her in death on August 21, 1986.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Prairie du Rocher, Illinois; American Legion Auxiliary in Prairie du Rocher; where she was a past president and a Gold Star Mother.  She enjoyed watching Nascar races and Cardinal’s Baseball. She loved playing cards, bingo and doing word finds.
