JODY WINGERTER, 45 , of Ellis Grove, Illinois, passed away Monday, July 11, 2016 at Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri.

She was born to Joseph V. and Bette Sue (nee Link) Scheffer, Jr. on January 22, 1971 in Chester, Illinois

She married Robert “Bob” C. Wingerter on January 22, 2000 in Jersey County, Illinois; he survives.

She had worked in the accounting department at Menard Correctional Center in Chester, Illinois for 5 years.

Jody loved spending time with family and her animals, especially her dog, Izzy.  She loved to go shopping.
