Steven Merle Draves

STEVEN MERLE DRAVES, 63 , of Corydon, Indiana, formerly of Chester, Illinois, passed away Saturday, May 7, 2016 at his home near Corydon, Indiana .

He was born to Edward Merle and Rosa Lee (nee: Turner) Draves on July 3, 1952 in Red Bud, Illinois.

He married Melanie R. Simmons on June 30, 1973 at Peace Lutheran Church in Chester, Illinois.  She survives.

Steven worked as a tugboat captain for ACL, Mount Vernon Marine and Consolidated Coal and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

It was Steven’s wish to be cremated.
