Mildred "Millie" Mae Dailey

May 17, 1924 — May 8, 2016

MILDRED “MILLIE” MAE DAILEY, 91, of Red Bud, Illinois, passed away at 8:53 am, Sunday, May 8, 2016 at Red Bud Regional Care, Red Bud, Illinois.

She was born to the late Michael and Theophila (nee Kilanowicz) Kalinowski on May 17, 1924 in St. Louis, Missouri.

Millie grew up in south St. Louis, graduated from Cleveland High School, and met the man of her dreams, George Harrison Dailey, in 1947. They married October 30, 1948 in St. Louis, Missouri.  They were devoted to each other and their family for over 67 years. She had a few instances of employment in her adult life but first and foremost was a wonderful mother, wife, person and friend. Her grace was matched by her joy of laughter and her enjoyment of people.

Millie was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Red Bud, Illinois. For Mildred, her deep Catholic faith was vital; as a result she was at peace with her transitions from this life. Mildred will be deeply missed and not forgotten by family and friends.
