Lloyd B Horrell

LLOYD B. HORRELL, 94, of Red Bud, Illinois, passed away at 3:25 pm, Thursday, March 31, 2016 at the Red Bud Regional Care, Red Bud, Illinois.

He was born to the late Henry and Josephine (nee Levery) Horrell on September 1, 1921 in Modoc, Illinois.

He married Mary S. Diewald on July 7, 1951 in Red Bud, Illinois; she preceded him in death on April 23, 2010.

He had been a farmer, part-owner of Horrell-Mudd General Store in Ruma, worked at Ed Kapes Distribution in Red Bud and Husemann Distribution in Red Bud until his retirement.   In his part-time, he was a school bus driver, postal delivery and cabinet maker.

He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Red Bud, Illinois; where he was a member of the Holy Name Society, served on Parish Council and was a Eucharistic Minister.  He served on the School Board District 132 from 1969-1973.  He was a member of the Optimist Club, Knights of Columbus and a 30 year member of the Kings House.  He was a Little League Coach.  He was one of the founding partners in Red Bud Nursing Home.  He was also a charter member of the North County Country Club.
