William "Bill" Lee Taylor

WILLIAM “BILL” LEE TAYLOR, 86 , of Evansville, Illinois passed away at 10:15 pm, Thursday, February 18, 2016 at his residence.

He was born to the late Oakley Dale and Violet (nee: Morgan) Taylor on August 25, 1929 in Chester, Illinois.

Bill married Maryanna Braun on June 25, 1955 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Evansville, IL.  She survives.

He first worked in the cutting department of the International Shoe Company in Evansville, he then worked in the bindery department at World Color in Sparta, IL from 1965 until he retired in 1997.  He was also a co-owner, along with his wife Maryann, of the Braun Tavern in Evansville for 25 years.

Bill was an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict.

Bill was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Evansville, Illinois, American Legion Post #1172 in Evansville, a life member of the V.F. W. Post #3553 in Chester and a former member of the Evansville Fire Department.
