Lester "Les" Homan

LESTER “LES” HOMAN, 79 , of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 3:30 am, Sunday, February 14, 2016 at Independence Care Center in Perryville, Missouri.

He was born to the late Ernest and Frieda (nee: Froembling) Homan on May 20, 1936 in Campbell Hill, Illinois.

He married Karen L. Jarrett on November 24, 1956 in Cutler, Illinois.  She preceded him in death on February 2, 2011.

Les actually owned a Ford when he began working for Fischer Body making cars for General Motors but quickly became a staunch GM man during his 30 years of employment and remained so for 30 years of retirement.

He was of the Lutheran faith.  He enjoyed wood working, classic country music and missed his wife, Karen, very much and was devoted to her during her illness.

Preceded in death by :  Parents, Wife – Karen Homan and 1 brother – Wib Homan

A Private Graveside service will be held at a later date.
