JANICE L. COX, 69 , of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 12:35 pm, Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at Three Springs Lodge Nursing Home in Chester, IL.

She was born to the late Louis “Buck” and Janie E. (nee: Clarida) Cummins on February 2, 1946 in Metropolis, Illinois.

She married David R. Cox on October 27, 2001 in Chester, Illinois. He survives.

Janice was a member of Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She loved NASCAR Racing, her favorite was Dale Earnhardt. She loved her Grandchildren and was an avid dog lover, especially Coco, Lulu and Molly.

She had worked for Dr. John Beck and retired as a clerk from Menard Correctional Center.
