Jess B Traiteur

JESS B. TRAITEUR, 86, of Prairie du Rocher, Illinois, passed away at 9:32 am, Sunday, December 27, 2015 at his residence.

He was born to the late Jess C. and Lucille (nee DeBourge) Traiteur on March 21, 1929 in East St. Louis, Illinois.

He married Theresa Stetina on June 24, 1950 in Rock Creek, Missouri; she survives.

He had worked for Commonfields of Cahokia Water Company in the Sewer Department for 31 years.  He also owned and operated Traiteur’s Market in Cahokia for 14 years.

He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Red Bud, Illinois; Knights of Columbus #4596 in Cahokia, Illinois and Laborers Local #100 in Caseyville, Illinois.

He was an avid fisherman, loved to garden, and barbecuing for family and friends. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
