Terry Allen Hobeck

TERRY ALLEN HOBECK, 46, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 7:07 am, Monday, December 21, 2015 at Memorial Hospital in Chester, Illinois.

He was born to Larry W. and Marcella N. (nee Rhyne) Hobeck on June 7, 1969 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

Terry was a correctional officer at Menard Correctional Center in Chester.

He was an Army Veteran.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Chester and AFSCME.  He was a Cardinal Baseball and Chester Yellow Jacket fan. He loved being outdoors and grilling. Most of all, he enjoyed watching his kids play sports.  He just loved life.

His Survivors are: Father & Step-Mother: Larry & Jenny Hobeck - Sparta, IL; Mother:  Marcella Byram - Perryville, MO; 3 Children: Tristin Hobeck - Chester, IL, Jessalynn Hobeck - Chester, IL and Bayleigh Hahn - Chester, IL; 1 Brother:  Gary (Valerie) Hobeck - Perryville, MO; 2 Step-Brothers:  David (Barbara) Handsbury - Lexington, KY and Rock Handsbury - Sparta, IL; 1 Step-Sister: Gina Handsbury - Perryville, MO; 3 Nieces:  Erin Burke - Lenzburg, IL, Megan Hobeck - Perryville, MO and Cheryl Panno - Waterloo, IA; G irlfriend:  Laura Reinhold - Chester, IL; His Dog: Yadi and Many Friends.

Preceded in death by :  1 Brother – Larry Hobeck, Jr., 1 Sister – Donna Hobeck and 1 Step-Brother – Dexter Handsbury

Visitation :  Wednesday - 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm and T hursday - 7:30 am – 10:00 am at Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home, Chester, Illinois
