ALICE J. GROTT, 79, of Chester, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2015, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

She was born to the late Fern E. Larison on August 19, 1936 in Chester, Illinois.

Alice married Dale Grott on August 25, 1956 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Chester, Illinois; he survives.

She was a retired Nurse’s Aide and had worked at Memorial Hospital and St. Ann’s Healthcare Center, both in Chester, Illinois.

Alice was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Chester, Illinois. She was an active member of the Dinner Auction Committee and Blessed Virgin Mary Altar Sodality. She enjoyed her family, traveling, reading and checking up on her Grandchildren on Facebook.

Preceded in death by : Mother – Fern Larison Laufer and Step-Father – Jim Laufer

It was Alice’s wish to be cremated.
