He was born to the late William Gene and Carol Jean (nee Tindall) Middendorf on April 19, 1958 in Red Bud, Illinois. He married Greta (nee Stindham) Soublo on January 17, 2009 in Bristol, Virginia; she survives. Terry was a supervisor at G&S Foundry in Red Bud, Illinois. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in New Athens, Illinois.
