MILDRED D. STIPE, 91, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 12:45 am, Monday, October 19, 2015 at Memorial Hospital in Chester, IL. She was born to the late Rudolph and Minnie (nee: Wolters) Feldmann on April 11, 1924, in Welge, IL. Mildred married James R. Stipe on August 6, 1949 at Wine Hill, IL. He preceded her in death on October 3, 1981. She was a homemaker. Mildred was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Chester, IL. She quilted and was an avid gardener, fisherman and cook. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren.
