CLAUDETTE "Midge" H. JAMES, 70, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 3:10 am on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at St. Francis Medical Center, Cape Girardeau, Missouri. She was born to the late William Virgil and Laura (nee Bendorf) Dethrow on May 6, 1945 in Chester, Illinois. She married Robert Lynn James on June 1, 1962 in Chester, Illinois; he survives. She was a homemaker and also had an in-home daycare for over 15 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Chester, Illinois and a 50 year member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary in Chester, Illinois. She was a huge St. Louis Cardinal Baseball Fan and her favorite player was Yadier Molina. She loved going shopping, traveling, especially going to the Smokey Mountain, and spending time with her grandchildren.
