OMER J. SCHOENBECK, 65, of Evansville, Illinois, passed away at 6:30 am, Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at his residence. He was born to the late Fred and Paula (nee Liefer) Schoenbeck on February 10, 1950 in Red Bud, Illinois. He married Christena M. Gaertner on November 18, 1967 at St. John Lutheran Church in Perryville, Missouri; she survives. He had worked at Afco, Singer & Synder General in Red Bud and was currently working at Hubbell-Wiegmann in Freeburg, Illinois. He was of the Lutheran Faith. Survivors: Wife: Chris Schoenbeck Evansville, IL 1 Son: Brian (Angie) Schoenbeck Evansville, IL 2 Grandchildren: Kelsie Schoenbeck (Special Friend Geoffrey McDaniel) Kody Schoenbeck (Special Friend Courtney Nieweglowski) 2 Brothers: Lloyd (Carolyn) Schoenbeck Ellis Grove, IL Roy (Tanya) Schoenbeck Bourbon, MO 1 Brother-in-law: Donald Cole Baldwin, IL Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends Preceded in death by: Parents and 1 Sister - Janet Cole A Private Family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorials can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Hospice of Southern Illinois and are being accepted at the funeral home.
